CyberBuddy digital challenges
will challenge students in digital escape rooms dealing with situations involving cyberbullying thus enhancing their digital empowerment. Digital escape rooms are a series of puzzles that are solved online. Players go through a series of activities, inputting a solution at each step in order to unlock the next puzzle or activity. If the right clues are put in the right order, eventually the escape room is solved and the player or team of players escapes. Overcoming the challenges will help students gain confidence in their abilities to overcome unpleasant situations in online environment.

The CyberBuddy diaries platform
will present real-life cases of cyberbullying along with videos that will show situations of cyberbullying from three different perspectives: the ones of the bully, the victim and the bystander. Showing different perspectives will help student experience conflicting viewpoints and investigate the reasons behind certain behaviours. This will help them reconsider their own role in cyberbullying situations and enhance their digital empathy.

“How to raise a cyberbuddy”
guidelines for teachers, parents and educators on early recognition of signs of cyberbullying, prevention of cyberbullying and dealing with cases of cyberbullying. This output will equip teachers and parents with the necessary skills and tools to take an active position in identifying and coping with cases of cyberbullying. The Guidelines will provide a comprehensive view on the cyberbullying issue as well as helpful tips for teachers and parents to take an active and supportive position in identified risky online situations.
