Tanya notices Alex’s distress and starts to feel guilty about not questioning Valeria’s online post. She has known Alex for quite a long time, and he was always studying hard, just like her…or so she thought.
Now Tanya has doubts wondering if she ever knew Alex that well. Unable to hold it all inside her, she decides to investigate further and talks to Alex directly. Tanya tells her friend what she saw online and asks him if there is any truth in that.
Alex explains that the rumour is false, but he can do nothing to stop it now that it has gained momentum among his classmates and teachers. He provides proof that he didn’t cheat by solving a complex equation like the one at the maths exam.
Shocked by how easily she believed the rumour, Tanya feels responsible for not verifying the information before it spread.
