Welcome to Ashgrove College in Co. Leitrim, Ireland! There is a great buzz around the school as it has recently been announced that the school will pick 5 students to be part of the team to participate in the national STEMfest! You and your mate Chad have been friends since primary school, and you are keen to join the team. Even though you are both high achievers, it is clear that the competition will be intense. It is now Friday afternoon, and you have just finished your physics class when you accidentally bump into your classmate Orla while talking to another student. You have been attending the same classes as Orla for the last 3 years and you know she is one of the strongest candidates for the team. You make small talk and ask Orla if she is looking forward to the STEMfest. Orla, being her usual shy self, says quietly that she has not entered the competition and walks out of the room.
