I’m Valeria, a student in high school, just like many others. I’ve always admired Alex, who seems to excel effortlessly in everything he does. But lately, his success has started to bother me.

Why does everyone praise him so much? Why can’t I get that kind of recognition?

These thoughts swirl in my mind as I scroll through social media one day. That’s when I realise how I could bring him down — I will create a post about Alex cheating on the maths exam.

The temptation to do it is strong. Maybe if people see him in a negative light, they’ll pay attention to me instead.

As soon as I hit ‘share,’ I feel a mix of excitement and guilt. The post gains traction quickly, with comments and likes flooding in.
